“Highly engaged Catholics are continuous learners. They see themselves as students of Jesus and his Church and they proactively make an effort to allow his teachings to guide and form them. “ (The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic by Matthew Kelly pp 105-106) “We need to start thinking about our lives on a deeper level. It is time for us to start thinking about where our lives are leading and to where God is calling us. It is time for us to renew our desire for truth and wisdom, and develop a daily habit of study.” (Kelly p. 81)
Going deeper into an understanding of our Catholic Faith, using resources in classes and books about Jesus, morality, the Bible, and Church History was the work we shared in this past year, Advent 2015 – 2016. This was the year we inaugurated our Parish Library. Many of us are still developing a habit of daily study, while we continue our efforts to practice daily prayer in a focused, intentional way.
